Job summary

Macquarie Geotechnical seeks Geotechnical Engineers and Engineering Geologists with 2-5 years' experience to join our team in Australia. You will conduct geotechnical investigations, supervise drilling, perform test pits, and carry out geotechnical inspections.

Responsibilities include communicating with clients and colleagues, liaising with subcontractors, and preparing factual reports. A tertiary qualification in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology is required, along with

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering/Engineering Geology.
Knowledge and experience using gINT and Holebase.
Understanding of AS1726 requirements.
Minimum 2 years site investigation experience.
Ability to work within a team environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Numerical, analytical and observation skills.
Interest in developing technical and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Undertaking geotechnical investigations, including drilling rig supervision and test pitting.
Geotechnical inspections such as proof roll, stripping and pile inspections.
Assisting with geophysical investigations (seismic refraction, magnetic surveys, electrical resistivity, downhole imagery).
Communicating with colleagues, subcontractors, sub-consultants and clients.
Preparation of factual reports.
