Job summary
Ravenswood Gold Pty Ltd invites a Geotechnical Engineer to safeguard open pit operations. You will provide field and analytical support, monitor rock mass behavior, and contribute to practical mine design with risk-based solutions.
You’ll work with mining, geology, survey and planning teams, maintaining monitoring systems and delivering clear technical reporting while upholding high safety standards at a long-life gold operation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil/Geotechnical or Mining) or Geology with geomechanics exposure.
- Strong understanding of rock mechanics and open pit ground control.
- Experience with geotechnical monitoring systems and instrumentation.
- Excellent analytical, reporting and stakeholder communication skills.
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence and a safety-first mindset.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily geotechnical support to mining ops and planning teams.
- Monitor Ground Control Management Plan compliance and suggest safe improvements.
- Maintain geotechnical risk registers, TARPs and critical controls.
- Carry out pit mapping, data validation and regular field inspections.
- Prepare technical monthly and ad hoc reports on monitoring and design.
