Job summary

Phillip Riley Projects Pty Ltd in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. You will analyze the mechanics of soil and rock and apply engineering techniques to predict ground response for structures.

Key duties include planning surveys, obtaining samples, testing strength and loading, and designing foundations. You will ensure regulatory compliance and contribute to safety and project success.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year experience in geotechnical projects.
Experience in analyzing soil and rock mechanics for engineering works.
Ability to plan, design, and supervise foundations and related structures.

Responsibilities

Analyze soil and rock mechanics and their application to engineering elements.
Design and construct structures supported by soil or rock; assess groundwater effects.
Plan, direct, and conduct surveys to analyze soil/rock behaviour.
Obtain soil and rock samples, test strength and compressibility, determine safe loading.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and project requirements.
