Job summary

AE Group seeks a Geotechnical Engineer to work in New South Wales, Australia. The role involves independent or team-based work, supporting residential and commercial developments with a focus on geotechnical site investigations, analysis, and reporting.

The successful candidate will plan borehole testing, assess ground stability, interpret lab results, and prepare designs for foundations and earthworks. A minimum of 3 years of experience and a relevant bachelor degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of soil mechanics, foundation engineering and geotechnical investigation methods.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and prepare technical reports.
• Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct geotechnical site investigations, including borehole drilling, soil sampling and field testing.
• Analyse soil and rock properties, groundwater conditions, bearing capacity and settlement characteristics.
• Prepare geotechnical engineering designs and recommendations for foundations, retaining walls, excavations and earthworks.
• Assess ground stability, soil movement, settlement risks and excavation conditions.
• Interpret laboratory testing results, geological information and engineering drawings.

We are seeking a full-time Geotechnical Engineer who will be able to work independently or as a part of a team, reliable and will be rewarded with a great salary also a friendly and supportive work environment.
