Job summary

New Venture Recruitment seeks a Geotechnical Driller to safely operate a Comacchio GEO 205 hydraulic crawler drilling rig on geotechnical and environmental investigation projects in NSW. You will mobilise, set up, drill using coring, augering, rotary open-hole and dynamic sampling, collect samples, and maintain accurate daily logs.

You must have proven geotechnical driller experience, rig operation skills, and current White Card with relevant licences; travel to various project sites across NSW

Qualifications

• Proven Geotechnical Driller experience.
• Competent operating hydraulic crawler drill rigs (Comacchio GEO 205 or similar).
• Sound knowledge of geotechnical drilling methods, sampling and in-situ testing (SPT).
• Current White Card and relevant tickets/licences (First Aid, high-risk work licences preferred).
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and accurate record-keeping.
• Reliable, practical and willing to travel to various project sites across NSW.

Company

A well-established civil and drilling contractor delivering geotechnical investigation and civil works across New South Wales. The business operates a modern fleet of drilling equipment and specialises in high-quality, safety-focused site investigation services for a range of clients.

Position

You will be responsible for the safe and productive operation of a Comacchio GEO 205 hydraulic crawler drilling rig on geotechnical and environmental investigation projects. Duties include mobilising and setting up the rig, carrying out a range of drilling methods (coring, augering, rotary open-hole, dynamic sampling), conducting SPT and in-situ testing, collecting samples, completing accurate daily logs, performing pre-starts and basic maintenance, and working closely with site supervisors, geologists and engineers. Work will involve both urban and restricted-access sites.

You

• Proven experience as a Geotechnical Driller or multipurpose investigation driller
• Competent operating hydraulic crawler drill rigs (Comacchio GEO 205 or similar experience highly regarded)
• Sound knowledge of geotechnical drilling methods, sampling and in-situ testing (SPT etc.)
• Current White Card and relevant tickets/licences (First Aid, high-risk work licences preferred)
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and accurate record-keeping
• Reliable, practical and willing to travel to various project sites across NSW
