Ferrovial Services Australia’s Webber division seeks a Drill Rig Operator for soil-nail heavy civil geotechnical projects. The role involves setup and operation of drilling gear, maintaining well control equipment, and executing precise drilling tasks in complex environments.

Must be willing to travel for out-of-town/state assignments and collaborate across engineering teams to ensure project success and safety on site.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily checklists to ensure all well control equipment is functional.
• Set up and operate gun drilling equipment and make corrections to keep production in spec.
• Load reels of fiber optic cable on flex track 150 plow cable six feet deep.
• Use hand tools and power tools to drill holes into materials as required.
• Cross-train in other departments to broaden skills.
• Read diagrams and drill holes into wood at specific locations and depths.
• Regulate air pressure, rotary speed, and downward pressure as required.
