Talison Lithium Pty Ltd is seeking an Open Pit Geological Technician at the Greenbushes Lithium Operation to support ore control and geological activities. Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, you'll work with geology and mining teams on field and office tasks to maximise ore recovery.

This 7 days on, 7 days off roster features 12-hour shifts, with accommodation for DIDO and residency near site.

Qualifications

• Current Manual C Class Driver's Licence.
• Computer literacy.
• Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective time management and attention to detail.
• Mining/geology experience is welcome but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety.
• Ore spotting and geological mark-ups within the open pit.
• Geological and blast hole sampling, and data collection activities.
• Liaising with mining contractors to maximise ore recovery and minimise dilution.
• Geological data entry and maintenance of geological records.
• Maintaining geology equipment, stores, and infrastructure.
• Assisting with drill core logging, sampling and exploration activities as required.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, the Geological Technician is responsible for supporting ore control and geological activities across the Greenbushes Lithium Operation. Working closely with the Geology and Mining teams, you will undertake a range of field and office-based activities that contribute to maximising ore recovery and supporting operational success.

This position operates on a 7 days on, 7 days off roster with 12-hour shifts, alternating between day and night shift. The role is available to residential candidates living within 30 minutes of site, with camp accommodation provided for DIDO employees.

About the Candidate:

• Current Manual C Class Driver's Licence

• Previous experience in mining, geology, earth sciences or a field-based operational role will be highly regarded, but not essential
