Job summary

Opal HealthCare's Norah Head Care Community invites you to join a team where your work directly impacts residents' comfort and wellbeing. As a General Services Officer, you will support dining room service, housekeeping and laundry to uphold high standards of hospitality and care in a welcoming community.

Qualifications

• Hospitality, cleaning or customer service experience is beneficial, but training is provided.
• Strong communication, reliability and a friendly, professional manner are important.
• Willingness to learn across different areas of hospitality and care.

Responsibilities

• Food Service: deliver dining room service, serve meals with care and know resident preferences.
• Housekeeping: keep resident rooms and community areas clean, safe and welcoming.
• Laundry: manage residents' personal laundry with respect and care.

As a General Services Officer (GSO) , you'll play an important role across catering, cleaning, and laundry services, helping deliver the highest standard of hospitality and care to our residents.

What You'll Do:

• Food Service: Deliver outstanding customer service in our dining room, serve meals with care, and know resident preferences.
• Housekeeping: Ensure resident rooms and community areas are clean, safe, and welcoming, paying attention to detail.
• Laundry: Provide an essential service by managing residents' personal laundry with respect and care.

Work as a key part of a supportive team to ensure a seamless and positive experience for all residents.

Follow strict safety, sanitary, and infection control protocols in all tasks.

What You'll Need:

• A passion for helping people and making a difference in your community
• A flexible, can-do attitude and willingness to learn across different areas of hospitality.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
• Reliability and a strong work ethic.

Previous experience in hospitality, cleaning, or customer service is beneficial, but not essential – we will train the right person!
