Job summary

Roseberry Qld seeks a General Practitioner (Part-time/Sessional) to join headspace Gladstone. The role focuses on youth health, delivering physical, mental and sexual health care to young people aged 12–25 within a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include developing mental health treatment plans, managing mild to moderate mental health concerns, and contributing to preventive care within a modern, fully computerised facility. Flexible after-hours options may be available.

General Practitioner, Part-time/Sessional, QLD - Gladstone GP wanted for headspace Gladstone

headspace GPs play an important role in supporting the mental, physical and sexual health of young people aged 12–25.

Having GPs onsite at headspace centres provides a safe, low-stigma entry point for young people who may be reluctant to seek help for mental health concerns. GPs work with young people around mental health, sexual health, drugs and alcohol, preventative healthcare and other physical health problems and are part of a multidisciplinary team of experienced youth healthcare experts.

Requirements

• Passion for engaging and building rapport with young people.
• Experience in supporting young people with mild to moderate mental health challenges, developing mental health treatment plans, and treating physical and sexual health concerns relevant to this age group.
• To hold all relevant licenses, registrations and memberships for legal practice as a qualified and registered Practitioner within the state of Queensland.
• Be able to obtain a Medicare Provider Number, and
• Be willing to bulk bill.
