General Practitioner - Full or Part Time

Bulk Billing - without the volume chase. The patient base is largely elderly, healthcare and pension card holders, so close to every patient warrants a care plan, and recalls, care plans and health assessments already run on systems. The owner gives hands on billing guidance too, so you’re never hunting for consult items to make a day work.

Part Time on Offer Flexibility to shape your week whether you are wanting full or part time. The long serving GPs’ books are full, so new patients come to you, and a reopened, growing patient base builds up in around 2 - 3 months.

Remuneration

• $2,500 to $3,000 average daily billings
• Fully Bulk Billing + Incentives
• 70% GP Spit
• 5-6 patients an hour

Clinical Work

• Care plans, recalls and health assessments across an elderly, pension card book
• Women’s health, with a nurse skilled in cervical screening and Implanon
• Skin checks, excisions and removal of lumps and bumps
• Mental health and WorkCover alongside the general list
• Iron infusions, ECG and spirometry with nurse support

Company, Culture and Site The GP owner took the practice over 2 years ago because of the good work it was doing in the community. He started there as a locum, and it shows in how he runs it. He consults 4 days a week, runs the entire business himself, and is unusually good at the operational side, with Best Practice, Cubiko and AI scribing in place. Cases are discussed constantly, doctors cover for each other, leave isn’t a fight, and patients belong to the practice rather than getting split between doctors. It’s deliberately non corporate.

The practice has been in the same location for more than 20 years. Small and cosy, with 3 consulting rooms and 2 well respected, long serving GPs who are easy to get along with and genuinely helpful, and the newest GP, fellowed last year, still walks in for a second opinion whenever he needs one. A full time nurse and treatment room, pathology onsite, a dietitian monthly, and free onsite parking with a designated space.
