Qualifications

• Current registration with the Australian Medical Board (AHPRA) as a General Practitioner or eligible to register.
• RACGP accreditation or equivalent training in general practice.
• Current professional indemnity insurance or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong clinical knowledge and practical experience in primary healthcare delivery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations.
• Proficiency with medical practice management systems and electronic health records.
• Commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

Peter Gill Medical Centre is seeking an experienced General Practitioner to join our dedicated healthcare team in Epping, NSW 2121. This is a contract position that offers the flexibility to contribute to our practice whilst maintaining professional autonomy. As a General Practitioner, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive primary healthcare services to our diverse patient population, providing preventative care, diagnosis, and treatment across a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. This position is fundamental to our mission of providing accessible, high-quality medical services to the local community.

Key responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive consultations with patients, taking detailed medical histories and performing thorough clinical examinations

Diagnose acute and chronic medical conditions and formulate appropriate treatment plans

Manage ongoing patient care including chronic disease management, preventative health screening and health promotion

Prescribe medications and arrange investigations (pathology and imaging) as clinically indicated

Provide minor surgical procedures and wound management as appropriate to general practice

Refer patients to appropriate specialists and coordinate follow-up care

Maintain accurate and timely medical records and ensure compliance with privacy legislation

Communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare colleagues

Contribute to the smooth operation of the medical centre and support team collaboration

What we're looking for

Current registration with the Australian Medical Board (AHPRA) as a General Practitioner or eligible to register

Completion of relevant medical qualifications and recognised training in general practice (such as RACGP accreditation or equivalent)

Current professional indemnity insurance or willingness to obtain it

Strong clinical knowledge and practical experience in primary healthcare delivery

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with diverse patient populations

Proficiency with medical practice management systems and electronic health records

Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment

Reliability, professional integrity and a patient-centred approach to care
