Qualifications

• Current registration with the Australian Medical Board (AHPRA) as a General Practitioner or eligible to register.
• RACGP accreditation or equivalent training in general practice.
• Current professional indemnity insurance or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong clinical knowledge and practical experience in primary healthcare delivery.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations.
• Proficiency with medical practice management systems and electronic health records.
• Commitment to continuing professional development and evidence-based practice.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive consultations, taking detailed medical histories and performing clinical examinations.
• Diagnose acute and chronic conditions and formulate appropriate treatment plans.
• Manage ongoing patient care including chronic disease management, prevention, and health promotion.
• Prescribe medications and arrange investigations (pathology and imaging).
• Provide minor surgical procedures and wound management as appropriate.
• Refer patients to specialists and coordinate follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure privacy compliance.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and healthcare colleagues.
• Contribute to smooth operation of the medical centre and team collaboration.
