Job summary

Eastwood Village Medical Practice in Surry Hills, NSW is seeking an experienced General Practice Registered Nurse for an immediate start. You will work with GPs across our sites in Eastwood, Surry Hills and Kirribilli, supporting chronic disease management, immunisations, wound care, and procedures.

The role values teamwork, ongoing professional development, and clinical documentation accuracy, with Monday–Friday hours and some Saturdays preferred.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in general practice or primary care.
• Evidence of appropriate and continuing professional indemnity insurance.

Responsibilities

• Support GPs with chronic disease management, health assessments, wound care, immunisations and minor procedures.
• Perform ECGs and routine clinical assessments.
• Maintain infection control and cold chain management.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in quality improvement.
• Assist with stock management and treatment room preparation.
• Provide excellent patient communication and triage support.

About the Role

This position is ideal for a motivated experienced nurse who values teamwork, continuity of care, and ongoing professional development, looking to step up to a team leader in the treatment room

You’ll be working Monday to Friday, with some Saturday availability preferred.

Key Responsibilities

In this varied and rewarding role, you will work closely with our GPs to support patients across a broad range of clinical activities, including:

• Chronic disease management and care planning
• Health assessments
• Wound care
• Immunisations (childhood and adult)
• Assisting with minor procedures
• ECGs and routine clinical assessments
• Infection control and cold chain management
• Supporting accreditation processes and maintaining accurate clinical documentation
• Stock management and treatment room preparation
• Supporting quality improvement and health promotion
• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Minimum 1 year of experience in general practice or primary care
• Evidence ofappropriateand continuing professional indemnity insurance.
• Strong skills in triage, wound care, and care planning
• Strong clinical and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Current CPR certificate
• Nurse Immunisation certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience with Best Practice clinical software
• Experience with the accreditation process and quality improvement requirements.
• Experience with sterilisation
• Experience with wound care and immunisation
• Professional and compassionate bedside manner
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
• Multilingual skills are highly regarded, with Mandarin and/or Cantonese particularly desirable for our Eastwood practice
