Job summary

Health Workforce Queensland is hiring a Nurse – General Practice (Enrolled or Registered) for Burnett Heads, Queensland. The role offers permanent, full-time hours with 24–38 per week, and pay between $38 and $42 per hour.

You will join a collaborative team, providing care in general practice and occupational health with opportunities for advancement into senior or leadership roles. Training and professional development are provided, and weekends are not required.

Qualifications

• Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
• Positive, team-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience in general practice or occupational health is highly regarded but not essential — full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Patient assessments, observations and health screenings.
• Assisting with procedures and providing clinical support to doctors.
• Immunisations and wound care (training available if required).
• Clinical documentation and maintaining best practice workflows.
• Workplace medicals and occupational health tasks (training provided).
• Working closely with admin and clinical teams to ensure smooth patient care.
