Job summary

Gladstone Hospital in Central Queensland seeks a Specialist General Physician to join the General Medicine team. Permanent or temporary, full-time or part-time options exist, with relocation support.

The role offers inpatient and outpatient care across a broad range of medical presentations in a supportive regional hospital setting. Applicants should hold FRACP or equivalent in General/Internal Medicine, be registered or eligible with AHPRA, and have experience in General Medicine, with

Qualifications

FRACP or equivalent specialist qualifications in General Medicine/Internal Medicine.
Registered or eligible for registration with AHPRA.
Experience in General Medicine.

Responsibilities

Provide specialist General Medicine services to inpatients and outpatients.
Manage patients with complex, chronic and multi-system medical conditions.
Provide clinical leadership and supervision to junior medical staff.
Work with Emergency Department and other hospital specialties.
Participate in governance, quality improvement and service development.
Teach and supervise junior doctors and medical students.
Participate in on-call roster, including after-hours.

Education

FRACP or equivalent specialist qualifications in General Medicine/Internal Medicine
