Spinner Medical seeks an experienced General Medicine specialist to join the Department of Medicine at Gladstone hospital. You will organise, manage and provide first class services in collaboration with the Director of Medicine.
The role offers a fully furnished home with no rent, an annual package rising to AUD 573k with allowances, 12.75% superannuation and a development budget. Travel within the region may be required.
The Department of Medicine at Gladstone hospital provides Internal medicine services for this hospital and surrounding health services including Emerald and Biloela.The Department provides exposure to a broad range of medical conditions both common anduncommon.The department is budgeted for 3 Specialists, 6 Principal House Officers, 1 RMO and 1 Intern.
Gladstone has 70 inpatient beds, with plans to expand. The hospital willdevelop level 4 clinical services and currently employs over 280 peopledelivering care across acute, planned, community and primary care. There isa 35-bedded general medical and surgical ward, a four bedded HDU, Maternity, Children’s ward and Nursery.
General Medicine here is now accredited by RACP for accredited Basic Physician Training. They alsohave recently introduced structured Work Based Assessment (WBA) program to facilitate General Registration for International Medical Graduates (IMG). We are aspiring to provide training courses to support ACRRM.
The hospital provides a comprehensive range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services, including emergency care, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedics, clinical investigations, obstetrics and maternity services, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, medical imaging, pathology, and paediatric services.
A private hospital is nearby and co-operates via a medical services agreement.
