Moir Group in Queensland seeks an experienced General Manager Operations to lead end-to-end manufacturing, planning, sourcing, logistics and delivery as the business grows toward $100 million by 2030.
Reporting to the leadership team, you will build processes, systems and capability across procurement, production, quality and ERP. Develop a practical roadmap, improve capacity and drive performance while maintaining safety and customer outcomes.
An established and highly regarded privately owned Queensland business operating across manufacturing and construction is entering an important phase of growth.
With revenue approaching $50 million, operations across two Queensland sites and a strong reputation for quality, innovation and customer service, the business has a clear ambition to more than double revenue to $100 million by 2030.
A newly created General Manager Operations role has been established to help make that ambition achievable.
This is an opportunity for an experienced operational leader to take broad responsibility for the way the business manufactures, plans, sources, moves and ultimately delivers its products to customers.
This is considerably more than a traditional manufacturing leadership position.
The business operates across the full journey from procurement and production planning through manufacturing, quality, logistics, installation and customer delivery. As the organisation grows, the challenge is to increase capacity and productivity while maintaining quality, safety, commercial discipline and the customer experience that has underpinned its success.
Reporting to the senior leadership team, the General Manager Operations will play a central role in building the systems, processes, capability and accountability required to support the next stage of growth.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to assess the current operation, identify its greatest constraints and opportunities, and establish a practical roadmap for improvement. This will include strengthening manufacturing performance, supply chain and production planning, improving operational visibility and systems, developing greater performance discipline and ensuring the organisation has the people and capability required to scale.
There is significant scope to influence the way the business operates.
We are seeking an accomplished operations leader from a complex manufacturing or engineered-product environment; relevant backgrounds could include engineered and building products, industrial or mining equipment, heavy fabrication, prefabricated construction or other project-based manufacturing environments.
You will have a proven ability to improve operational performance, scale manufacturing and lead people through growth and change. Commercially astute and comfortable with manufacturing, supply chain, ERP and continuous improvement, you will understand the connection between productivity, cost, quality and customer outcomes.
Above all, you will be a visible, credible and engaging leader who builds accountability, develops people and brings a practical, collaborative approach to improving the business.
This is an opportunity to join an established Queensland business at an important point in its evolution and play a central role in a strategy to grow revenue from $50 million to $100 million by 2030.
You will have significant scope to influence the organisation's operations, systems, people and performance and to build the platform for sustainable growth.
An attractive executive remuneration package, including STI, will be offered commensurate with experience. Relocation assistance is available for the successful candidate where required.
If you are an operational leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, improving businesses and turning growth strategies into tangible results.
