Job summary

Yilgarn Iron is seeking a General Manager - Operations to lead the site’s pit-to-port value chain, reporting to the COO. You will own safety, production, cost and delivery across mining, processing, maintenance, logistics and site services.

This role requires extensive open-pit mining leadership, proven ability to scale operations, manage major contractors and build high-performing teams while turning long-term growth plans into daily results.

Qualifications

• Extensive operational experience in open-pit mining.
• Proven senior leadership of large multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience managing major mining contractors and contractors' safety/cost delivery.
• Strong understanding of pit-to-port value chain and inter-department coordination.
• Ability to translate long-term growth plans into actionable programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site leadership team and align operations with the company plan.
• Oversee safety, production, cost and performance across mining, processing, maintenance, logistics and site services.
• Drive performance across the pit-to-port supply chain and associated infrastructure.
• Manage contractor performance and accountability for safety, cost and delivery.
• Guide asset performance, capital planning and fleet reliability as the operation grows.
• Build and develop a high-performing leadership team with clear accountability.
