Are Media is seeking a General Manager, Entertainment to drive growth and performance across six iconic brands in Australia. You will lead a high-performing team, unlock opportunities across circulation, subscriptions, advertising, and commerce, and steer data-led acquisition and retention strategies.

The General Manager, Entertainment is a pivotal leadership role, responsible for driving the growth, performance and future direction of Are Media’s Entertainment content vertical!
Spanning six of Australia’s most iconic and trusted entertainment brands - New Idea, WHO, Woman’s Day, that’s life!, Take 5 and TV WEEK - together with the Puzzles division, this portfolio reaches millions of Australians and sits at the heart of the company’s success.
This is a dynamic, commercially focused role where you will lead a high-performing team to unlock new opportunities for growth across a diverse revenue mix, including circulation, subscriptions, advertising, and a rapidly expanding content commerce offering spanning affiliate and partnership channels. A key priority will be accelerating the growth of direct, owned audiences through data-led acquisition and retention strategies, strengthening first-party relationships that fuel both recurring revenue and long-term brand value.
With full accountability for the P&L, you will set the pace for sustainable growth, making smart investment decisions, championing innovation, and fostering strong cross-functional collaboration. You will play a critical role in evolving the portfolio, diversifying revenue streams, and building new commercial opportunities to ensure these market-leading brands continue to thrive in a rapidly changing media landscape.
