Job summary

The Recruitment Alternative on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead manufacturing operations, drive continuous improvement and build capability. Reporting to the Director, you will own operational performance, mentor a leadership team and balance strategic thinking with hands-on leadership.

You will oversee budgets, P&L, inventory and customer delivery, shaping productivity and cost controls while fostering a culture of accountability in a privately owned family

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager or senior manufacturing leader.
• Experience leading a privately owned family business is highly desirable.
• Proven track record in driving continuous improvement, efficiency and cost control.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to interpret and manage P&L.

About the Role:

A rare opportunity exists for an experienced, operationally focused General Manager to join a well-established, privately owned manufacturing business on the Gold Coast.

Reporting directly to the Director, you will take ownership of the operational performance of the business, leading manufacturing operations while identifying opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and profitability.

You will mentor and support an experienced leadership team, implement continuous improvement initiatives, strengthen systems and processes and ensure the business continues to deliver exceptional outcomes for its customers.

This role requires a commercially astute leader who enjoys working in a hands-on environment and can successfully balance strategic thinking with day-to-day operational leadership.
