Job summary

OzRoll is seeking a Senior Operations leader for our South Australian site. This role will own day-to-day operations across five departments and report directly to the COO, with real accountability for performance and continuous improvement.

You'll build capability, drive efficiency, manage inventory, and partner with the Gold Coast facility to align supply and manufacturing. We're looking for a hands-on leader who can shape how the site runs and grow with the business.

• Maintain hands-on involvement on the floor, not a desk job.

OzRoll is an Australian, private family owned manufacturer and wholesaler now in our 26th year. Our core product, roller shutters, sees us recognised as the industry leader, and our Adelaide facility also produces a range of outdoor blinds under our Slidetrack brand. We distribute nationally and export around the world. We also have a second manufacturing facility on the Gold Coast; this role won't be responsible for that site, but will work closely with it.

Across the group we employ over 200 people and this role will be accountable for more than a quarter of that workforce. We're a business with genuine momentum. The Opportunity

We're creating a new Senior Operations role for our South Australian site, and it's a rare opportunity to take genuine ownership of a growing operation. This isn't a role where you'll be managing someone else's system, you'll be building accountability, driving performance, and shaping how our SA site runs day to day, with five departments reporting directly to you: Supply Chain, Production, Warehouse, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing.

Reporting directly to our COO, the opportunities around this role are significant, because the opportunities for the business are significant. We're intentionally looking for someone who wants to grow with us for the long term.

What You'll Be Doing

Owning the day-to-day operational performance of the SA site across five functional areas

Leading, developing, and holding accountable five direct reports, including experienced senior department leads

Driving efficiency, waste reduction, and labour optimisation across production and warehouse operations

Owning quality outcomes and inventory performance, including stock days and slow-moving product

Chairing regular department meetings and driving structured performance management

Working closely with our Business Development Manager on logistics, transport, and site-related customer issues

Getting genuinely hands-on, this role is structured to keep you connected to the floor, not stuck behind a desk

What We're Looking For

A proven track record in production and manufacturing, inventory management, or ideally both

A genuine, demonstrated track record of leading people, not just managing a process

Prior experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or equivalent level is desirable, but open to all strong candidates. If you've been ready for this step and haven't had the shot yet, we want to hear from you

Above all, we're looking for a leader. We are intentionally hiring a personality and a mindset, not just a skill set, someone who can lead other senior people, not just floor staff, and who has a track record that proves it

Some exposure to IT processes as they relate to manufacturing resource planning (MRP) systems is valuable, as paperless production and augmented manufacturing processes are becoming more prevalent
