Express Employment Professionals Canberra is seeking experienced and reliable General Labourers for a range of short and long-term assignments across Canberra and the surrounding region.

We are looking for hardworking individuals who take pride in their work, follow safety procedures and can contribute positively to a team.

Qualifications

• General labouring or construction experience required.
• Current General Construction Induction Card required.
• Current Silica Awareness Certificate required.
• Current Asbestos Awareness Certificate required.
• Police Check and/or Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) check, or willingness to obtain.
• Full working rights in Australia required.
• Reliable transport and ability to arrive on time.
• Willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• General construction and site labouring.
• Site preparation and clean-up.
• Moving materials and equipment.
• Assisting tradespeople.
• Using basic hand and power tools.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures.
• Completing other general labouring duties as required.

Duties May Include

• General construction and site labouring
• Site preparation and clean-up
• Moving materials and equipment
• Assisting tradespeople
• Using basic hand and power tools
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Following workplace health and safety procedures
• Completing other general labouring duties as required

To Be Considered, You Must Have

• Previous general labouring or construction experience
• Current General Construction Induction Card
• Current Silica Awareness Certificate
• Current Asbestos Awareness Certificate
• Good physical fitness and the ability to complete manual tasks
• A strong commitment to workplace safety
• Reliable transport and the ability to arrive on time
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Availability for short-term, long-term and ongoing assignments
• Police Check and/or Working with Vulnerable People (or be prepared to obtain if necessary)
• You must also have full working rights in Australia.

Additional licenses and machinery tickets will be highly regarded.
