Job summary

Flourish Australia is seeking a General Hand to join our Community Businesses team at Marrickville Prestige Packaging site in Sydney. This casual role runs Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm, with hourly rates equivalent to SES Grade 3: 27.62 AUD per hour plus 25% casual loading.

As a hands-on role, you will support warehousing, grounds maintenance, general labouring and courier tasks, working with supported employees and serving as a positive role model.

Qualifications

• Ability to work empathetically with persons with mental health issues or psychosocial disability.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and follow instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Demonstrated ability to motivate and assist team members.

Responsibilities

• Carry out warehousing, grounds maintenance, general labouring and courier tasks.
• Work alongside supported employees and model professional conduct.

About the Opportunity

A General Hand with Flourish Australia’s Community Businesses is required to work alongside supported employees and to act as a role model for people with diverse levels of skills and expertise. To achieve this, you will be required to ensure that efficient and quality work is carried out whilst also ensuring supported employee and business service satisfaction.

This is a hands‑on and diverse role requiring you to complete a variety of work in areas relating to warehousing, grounds maintenance, general labouring, and courier services.
