Job summary

Croydon Dental Clinic in Melbourne VIC is seeking a General Dentist on a part-time basis, ideally Saturdays, with a flexible option to add days as your patient book grows. You will provide all-round dental care, including exams, radiographs, restorations and paediatric services, in a modern private clinic.

Join a supportive team using iTero, CBCT and in-house 3D printing. Applicants must hold AHPRA registration, Victorian radiation licence, WWCC and Medicare provider eligibility; Victorian work

Qualifications

• Registered General Dentist with current AHPRA registration.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Victorian radiation licence.
• WWCC (Working With Children Check).
• Eligible for Medicare provider number (CDBS).
• Valid Australian work rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general dental care, including exams and radiographs.
• Perform restorations, endodontics, extractions, crowns and bridges.
• Deliver preventive and paediatric care including CDBS.
• Collaborate with oral health therapist and team.

About the Role

We have a vacancy for a compassionate General Dentist to join our team one day a week, ideally on Saturdays (we're happy to consider a weekday). We're looking for someone who can start soon.

Over December and January, you'll also have the option to pick up additional days while one of our dentists is on leave. Take as many or as few as suit you, which is a great way to get to know our patients and team early on.

Your daily duties will include but not be limited to:

Providing all round general dental care, including comprehensive exams, diagnosis and radiographic interpretation

Restorative dentistry, endodontics, extractions, crown and bridge, and removable prosthodontics

Preventive and paediatric dental care, including treating CDBS patients

Working in collaboration with our oral health therapist

Developing personalised treatment plans based on individual patient needs

Educating patients on oral hygiene, preventative care, and long-term oral health

Collaborating closely with dental assistants and team members to deliver excellent patient care

Maintaining accurate clinical records and high professional standards

Adhering to infection control and safety protocols

Staying up to date with advancements in dentistry and ongoing professional development

About You

You genuinely listen to your patients and take the time to understand their needs. You're a team player who is also confident working independently. Along with a strong work ethic and previous experience in a similar role, you'll have/be:

Registered General Dentist with current AHPRA registration (no conditions or restrictions)

Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred

Hold a Victorian radiation licence and Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Eligible for a Medicare provider number (for CDBS)

Hold legal working rights in Australia (citizenship, permanent residency, or valid work visa)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, compassionate chairside manner

Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, team-oriented attitude
