Job summary

Stake in Sydney is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data team. You’ll build scalable data foundations, pipelines and data models that empower product, operations and commercial teams to move faster with trusted data.

You’ll work closely with engineers, product managers, analysts and stakeholders, solving complex problems, improving critical systems and enabling self-service data capabilities in a hybrid Sydney office.

Qualifications

• Strong experience building and maintaining modern data platforms, pipelines and data products in production environments.
• Deep focus on data quality, reliability and creating systems other teams can depend on.
• Comfort working across the data stack from ingestion and transformation through modelling and consumption.
• Solid data governance understanding and ability to implement best practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve reliable, scalable data pipelines that support decision-making across Stake.
• Improve data quality, observability, governance and documentation to increase trust in data.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts and product teams to enable self-serve data capabilities.
• Define and implement scalable data models that support business outcomes and product analytics.
