Job summary

Insignia Financial is expanding its Data Engineering team in Australia to design, develop, and optimize scalable data platforms on Google Cloud Platform. You will work with large datasets in a cloud-native environment, delivering secure, reliable data pipelines and modern data solutions across the organisation.

The role emphasizes hands-on GCP experience (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer), Java/Python development, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in data engineering or related field.
Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer).
Proficiency in Java or Python and building scalable, production-grade data pipelines.
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automated testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, secure data solutions on GCP using BigQuery, Dataflow, and Composer.
Build and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines.
Apply DevOps principles, including CI/CD and IaC, to improve delivery.
Ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, and governance controls.
Optimise data pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Monitor and support data solutions, driving continuous improvements.
