Job summary

Opus Recruitment Solutions in Melbourne is seeking a Cloud/Platform/DevOps Engineer to help design, build and secure scalable cloud-native platforms on Google Cloud as part of a major transformation.

You will work with IaC (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes (GKE) and security controls, collaborating with development, architecture and security teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cloud/Platform/SRE/DevOps engineer in GCP environments.
• Terraform and IaC practices.
• CI/CD tooling: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Cloud Build.
• Cloud networking, IAM and security controls.
• Monitoring/observability tools: Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Scripting: Python, Bash or Go.
• Container tech: Docker and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain GCP infrastructure and platform services.

Key responsibilities

Design, build and maintain Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure and platform services

Develop and deploy Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform

Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation frameworks

Implement cloud security, governance and operational best practices

Support containerised workloads using Kubernetes (GKE)

Monitor and improve platform reliability, performance and scalability

Collaborate with development, architecture and security teams to deliver cloud-native solutions

About you

Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer, Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer or Site Reliability Engineer within GCP environments

Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices

CI/CD tooling including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Cloud Build

Cloud networking, IAM and security controls
