Job summary

Securitas Australia is seeking a Security Officer for VIC locations Mentone and Moorabbin. This casual role focuses on gatehouse duties, data entry, and delivering high standards of customer service at client sites.

Ideal candidates hold a VIC Security License, First Aid/CPR, a valid driver's license, and are reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team across day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid VIC Security License.
• Current First Aid & CPR.
• Valid Driver's License & Car.
• Excellent communication skills, punctual and reliable.
• Be able to work independently, self-aware, motivated, and able to work as part of a team.
• Be proactive, whilst maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
• Previous gatehouse experience is highly desirable but not compulsory.

Responsibilities

• Provide a security service in line with the site SOPs and client's requirements to protect employees, property and assets.
• Deliver the highest levels of customer service aligned with Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness.
• Site patrols, Access Control and responding to incidents around the site.
• Greeting visitors and employees, issuing keys/cards to authorized contractors and monitoring their activities.
• Protection of people and property.
• Report writing, Microsoft Office applications, advanced use of Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Monitor CCTV, Emergency Management and Fire Systems.
• Approximately 90% data entry work is required.
