Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an experienced Security Officer to manage the gatehouse at our Mars site in Ballarat. The role involves significant face-to-face interaction with contractors, drivers, and couriers, ensuring compliance with entry requirements and maintaining safety and security.

The position is permanent full time, paid at level 3 per the security award, with a rotating 4 × 12 hour shift pattern (days and nights) and 4 days off.

Qualifications

• Valid Victoria security licence and a current first aid certificate.
• Experience managing security duties at a gatehouse, including data entry and CCTV.
• Ability to interact with contractors, drivers and couriers while ensuring compliance with site entry requirements.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure the gatehouse and premises are secure for staff and visitors.
• Receive deliveries and perform data entry with accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with site rules at all times.
• Observe, report, and respond to incidents as required.
• Demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Maintain high attention to detail and provide outstanding customer service.
