Job summary

Aurizon is seeking a Gatehouse Operator at the Kwinana Container Terminal to support freight movements, gate operations and data recording across seven days on, seven days off, with day and night shifts.

You will liaise with drivers and yard staff, record dockets, receipts and ETAs, and compile reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong problem-solving skills are desirable, along with the ability to work autonomously and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics and freight operations preferred.
• Understanding of road and rail freight movements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with supervisor to record freight movements, depot receivals, quantities, types and ETAs.
• Accurately record data in line with requirements and chain of responsibility.
• Ensure documentation: dockets, receipts, con notes, labelling and release dockets.
• Liaise with drivers and yard staff; compile and distribute reports and run sheets.
• Operate gatehouse data entry across 24/7 shifts and use clear radio comms.
