Job summary

Macquarie Hospital North Ryde seeks a permanent full-time Gardener with a Certificate to join the Facilities Department. The role maintains lawns, gardens and landscaping across the campus and supports the engineering team as needed.

You will complete AFM dockets, manage a busy workload and operate landscaping machinery; training will be provided. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Parks and Gardens or equivalent relevant qualification.
• NSW Driver's Licence, gardening qualifications and general knowledge of plants and species.
• Effective communication, interpersonal & computer skills and sound customer service.
• Safe work practices and WHS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, gardens and landscaping across the campus.
• Perform planned and urgent preventative and corrective tasks.
• Complete AFM work dockets, feedback, inventory and reports.
• Provide support to the engineering team as required.
• Manage a varied and busy workload with competing demands.
• Operate machinery (Ride On Mowers, Skid Steer) or be trained to do so.
