Paspaley Pearling Company are currently looking for a Gardener to join our team. With a wealth of expertise in luxury jewellery production, Paspaley is renowned for producing the world’s most beautiful south sea pearls. This is a fantastic opportunity for highly dedicated, reliable, and motivated individual to join a multifaceted family-owned business that spans across Pearling, Retail, Pastoral and Properties.

The position will be based at one of our pearl farms located in either the beautiful Kimberley region of Western Australia or the Northern Territory. Working on a 2:1 roster, you will report directly to the Farm Manager and be responsible for the maintenance of the gardens and landscaping at the pearl farm. Our ideal candidate will be Darwin based, or willing to relocate to Darwin, and will have previous experience working as a Gardener or in a landscaping role with the ability to work in a tropical climate.

Key duties and responsibilities

• Maintain all gardens and camp surrounds and ensure they are in a clean and tidy condition
• Undertake general horticultural maintenance tasks such as planting, hedging, formative and clearance pruning
• Manage turf maintenance such as mowing, grass edging and brush cutting
• Ability to operate machinery relevant for the role such as hand tools, pruning equipment, mowing equipment, weed management tools and equipment, etc.
• Under limited direction manage day to day scheduling and task prioritising of maintenance works and delegate work within the team environment
• Daily waste management control
• Other duties as directed by Farm Manager
