John Holland Group is seeking a reliable Gantry Crane Spotter for a busy precast concrete facility in Adelaide, working on the Torrens to Darlington project. You will guide gantry crane operators and help with safe movement of large precast segments in a high-precision environment.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and attention to detail, with a rotating 7/3/7/4 roster and strong collaboration with the production team to maintain an efficient site operation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a crane spotter or in a similar role is preferred.
• DG Licence (DG High Risk Work Licence) highly regarded.
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Proactive attitude and commitment to following safe work practices.
• Ability to work a rotating 7/3/7/4 roster.

Responsibilities

• Spot and guide gantry crane operators during lifting and movement operations.
• Maintain clear communication with crane operators and ground personnel.
• Assist with the safe positioning and handling of precast concrete segments.
• Identify potential hazards and maintain safe exclusion zones.
• Follow all site safety procedures, lifting plans and directions.
• Work collaboratively with the production team to maintain an efficient and safe work environment.
