Job summary

Playtech Logic Labs in Australia is seeking a skilled Game Artist and Animator to craft world-class slot game visuals from concept to implementation. You will animate symbols, characters, and UI and deliver polished, game-ready assets, working across art, animation, AI-assisted workflows, and production pipelines.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in a related role, expert knowledge of Photoshop, Spine, and After Effects, and a passion for high-quality visuals. Portfolio submission is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Game Artist, Animator, or similar role.
• Expert knowledge of Photoshop, Spine, and After Effects.
• Strong understanding of animation fundamentals, especially timing, spacing, and motion appeal.
• Experience using AI tools for concept generation, ideation, visual exploration, and production workflows.
• Understanding of game asset export, optimization, and production pipelines.
• Strong technical mindset with ability to troubleshoot issues with developers.
• Experience in online Slots/iGaming industry is a strong advantage.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Passion for quality, attention to detail, and ownership of your work.
• Experience with sprite sheets, localization workflows, asset implementation, and workflow automation.
• Familiarity with Eastern European slot markets, player preferences, visual trends, and top-performing games.
• Knowledge of current iGaming trends, competitors, and emerging mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality game art including symbols, characters, backgrounds, UI, logos, and marketing assets.
• Create polished animations including symbols, characters, features, wins, and VFX in Spine and After Effects.
• Use AI tools to rapidly generate concepts, mockups, references, and visual explorations.
• Prepare and deliver game-ready assets, animation exports, sprite sheets, and localization-ready files.
• Collaborate closely with artists, developers, designers, and producers throughout production.
• Help improve workflows and solve technical art challenges.
