Job summary

ATCO Gas Australia invites applications for a qualified G Class Gas Fitter to join our Bunbury/Busselton area team, covering from Harvey to Vasse. This role balances work-life and personal development, with diverse duties across fault-finding, gas distribution maintenance and customer service.

You will perform faults and emergency responses, meter changes, leak repairs, and collaborate with contractors during network expansion, including quality control on new builds. On-call duties apply.

Qualifications

• Hold a G Class gas fitting licence.
• Certificate III in gas industry operations (desirable or training can be provided).
• WA construction white/blue card.
• Basic worksite traffic management certificate (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Faults and emergency response works relating to the gas distribution network.
• Undertake gas meter changes, leak surveillance/repair works, and pipeline management.
• Collaborate with and oversee contractors for network expansion.
• Carry out quality control and inspection activities relating to new construction.
• Participate in the 24/7 on-call faults roster.
• Inspections of gas distribution assets, recording and reporting on performance and issues.

Job description

An exciting opportunity exists for a qualified G Class Gas Fitter tojoin our team in the Bunbury / Busselton area, covering an area from Harvey to Vasse. This role provides an excellent work-life balance and personal development opportunities.

Reporting to the Regional Supervisor, you will be working in our dedicated and passionate team. This varied role includes gas distribution fault-finding activities and maintenance works while providing a high level of customer service.

What you will do

• Faults and emergency response works relating to the gas distribution network.
• Undertake gas meter changes, leak surveillance/repair works, along with pipeline management.
• Collaborate with and oversee contractors associated with the expansion of the gas distribution network.
• Carry out quality control and inspection activities relating to new construction.
• Participate in the 24/7 on-call faults roster.
• Undertake inspections of gas distribution assets, recording and reporting on performance, integrity, and any functionality issues in accordance with company procedures.

What you will bring

• Hold a G Class gas fitting licence.
• Certificate III in gas industry operations (desirable or training can be provided)
• Western Australia construction white card / blue card.
• Basic worksite traffic management certificate (desirable)
