Job summary

Bare is looking for an empathetic communicator to join our Funeral Arrangement team. You will work remotely with families, guiding them through arranging a funeral, showing care and coordinating every step of the process.

This is a phone-based role with occasional in-person meetings at our Brisbane area offices. You will report to the Regional State Lead and collaborate with a team of like-minded colleagues who are dedicated to supporting families during their time of need.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls from families seeking funeral arrangements.

• Act as a trusted guide and support throughout the funeral arrangement process.
• Coordinate logistics, ceremony details, and communication with extended networks.
• Meet families in person at the local office when needed.

While this position is primarily remote, we occasionally may require you to assist on the day of a Funeral Service, as such we are looking for candidates based in Brisbane or surrounding areas.

So what is the role, exactly?

We're looking for an empathetic communicator with exceptional attention to detail to join our Funeral Arrangement team. You will be a families guide and support through their most vulnerable time. It’s no stretch to say it’s one of the most important roles in the company.

In this role you’ll be phone-based, working directly with families who are looking for support in arranging a funeral service. You’ll show empathy, taking the time to let them know you care, and then support them by arranging and communicating every step of the process.

That makes sense, but what would my day to day look like?

In this role you're working with families in their most difficult time. They are looking for guidance, empathy and support in arranging a funeral for their loved one. Each day would involve:

answering inbound calls from families who have questions about their current arrangements

proactively updating families of the status of their arrangements

actively listening to your families, giving them the time and space to share their grief with a trusted person

being their trusted guide and support throughout the entire funeral arrangement process

coordinating logistics, ceremony arrangements and communicating the funeral service details to all of their extended network

meeting families in person at our local office if/as needed

You will report to our Regional State Lead, and work with a team of an amazing likeminded people.
