Job summary

QIC Real Estate is seeking a Fund Analyst based in Brisbane to support the QIC Property Fund (QPF). You will interrogate complex datasets, identify trends and translate analysis into actionable investment recommendations across investment, portfolio management, capital management and investor reporting.

You will contribute to valuation reviews, performance assessments and governance materials, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a high-performing environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years’ experience in a highly analytical environment.
• Degree qualifications in Finance, Economics, Commerce, Mathematics, Engineering, Actuarial Studies, Property or related discipline.
• Advanced Excel capability and modelling skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive approach with strong ownership.

Job description

As a Fund Analyst within QIC Real Estate's Funds Management team, you'll be at the heart of investment decision-making for the QIC Property Fund (QPF), influencing the performance of a multi-billion dollar core retail portfolio. Based in Brisbane and reporting to the Assistant Fund Manager, you'll play a critical role in supporting the management of QPF. You'll become a trusted member of the team, working across investment, portfolio management, capital management and investor reporting activities. Success in this role will be driven by your ability to interrogate complex datasets, identify key trends and transform analysis into actionable investment recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Own, enhance and continually improve sophisticated fund and portfolio models
• Conduct scenario analysis, sensitivity testing and performance attribution analysis
• Analyse fund and asset performance, identify key drivers and provide investment recommendations
• Review development feasibilities and evaluate project returns, risks and value creation opportunities
• Support capital management activities including liquidity, debt and hedging analysis
• Assist with valuation reviews and portfolio performance assessments
• Transform complex financial and operational data into clear insights and recommendations
• Prepare investor reporting, board papers, presentations and governance materials
• Support investor communications and respond to investor enquiries
• Identify risks, opportunities and value creation initiatives across the portfolio

About you

• Demonstrated experience working with, interrogating and interpreting complex financial models
• 1-3 years' experience within a highly analytical environment
• Advanced Excel capability and exceptional modelling skills
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative reasoning ability
• Strong commercial judgement and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding attention to detail and intellectual rigour
• The ability to understand complex financial, commercial and investment concepts
