The role requires a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology, strong diagnostic and mechanical skills, and a commitment to safety and reliability in a modern workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Must have automotive mechanical qualification (Certificate III or equivalent).
• Experience as a motor mechanic or automotive technician preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engines, mechanical systems, and electrical systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair faults with appropriate tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, maintain and repair motor vehicles.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Perform engine, transmission, brake, steering, suspension and cooling system repairs.
• Replace worn components and fit replacement parts.
• Conduct routine maintenance: oil changes, filters, fluids.
• Test vehicles after repairs for safety and efficiency.
• Keep accurate service records.
• Follow safety procedures and keep the workshop clean.
