Job summary

MacKillop Family Services Pty in Harkness, VIC is seeking an experienced Residential Care Worker to join our OOHC residential and community-based support teams. This ongoing full-time role reports to the Residential Team Leader and focuses on providing a safe, structured environment for children and young people with complex needs.

You will support daily living, respond to trauma-related behaviours with care, and help with household tasks and admin while working within a strong, values-driven

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or equivalent.
• Genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing.
• Empathy for young people in our care.
• Strong capacity for emotional self-regulation and setting boundaries for safety.

Responsibilities

• Support young people in daily life and skills development.
• Respond to trauma-related behaviours with care and professionalism.
• Contribute to the smooth running of the home including household tasks and admin.
• Work as part of a values-driven team that supports each other and the young people.
