Qualifications

• Knowledge of welding and bonding techniques for vehicle panel repair.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and professional attitude.
• Solid understanding of automotive safety standards and workshop procedures.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Current driver's license (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assess vehicle damage and determine efficient repair methods.

Cathcart Smash Repairs is seeking a skilled Full Time Panel Beater or 3rd/4th year Apprentice Panel Beater to join our team in Bendigo, VIC. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in automotive panel beating within a respected local business. What you'll be doing

• Assessing vehicle damage and determining the most efficient repair methods
• Removing and reshaping damaged panels using specialised hand and power tools
• Welding and bonding panels to restore vehicles to their original condition
• Preparing panels for painting by ensuring surfaces are smooth and properly finished
• Working collaboratively with other members of the workshop team.
• Following safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organised work environment
• Recording work completed and maintaining accurate job documentation
• Contributing to continuous improvement of workshop practices and efficiency

What we're looking for
