Job summary

Green by Nature is seeking a reliable Groundsperson / Garden Labourer to maintain a prominent green space in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. The role is full-time, 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with an early start and finish.

You will join an experienced team, performing mowing, planting, mulching and general grounds maintenance while upholding safety standards in a busy public environment. Prior gardening experience is valued, but a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in gardening, landscaping or grounds maintenance preferred but not essential.
• A willingness to learn and take direction from experienced team members.
• Current driver’s licence required.
• White Card and Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general garden and grounds maintenance including mowing, edging, hedging, weeding and pruning.
• Assist with planting, mulching and maintaining garden beds.
• Operate equipment including push mowers, ride-on mowers, blowers, hedgers and whipper snippers.
• Load and unload plants, materials and equipment as required.
• Keep work areas, tools and equipment clean and well maintained.
• Work closely with your team to maintain a high standard across the site.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, your team and members of the public.
