Job summary

World of Tyres in Griffith, NSW is seeking a qualified mechanic for our busy workshop at 918 Willandra Ave. The role involves independent and team work, carrying out repairs, maintenance, service, and tyre fitting and balancing.

You will diagnose issues, refer to service manuals, carry out logbook servicing, and reassemble engines and parts. Minimum Certificate IV and Australian work eligibility are required; two years’ experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate IV in automotive/mechanic field.
• Visa eligibility and ability to work in Australia required.
• 2 years mechanic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform all mechanical repairs and maintenance.
• Fit and balance tyres.
• Diagnose problems and report findings.
• Perform routine servicing and logbook servicing.
• Test vehicles after work and retest parts with scan tools.

Job description

We request a qualified mechanic to work in our busy workshop at 918 Willandra Ave Griffith. This role will require you to work independently and as a team. You will be required to perform all mechanical repairs, maintenance, and vehicle serving. You will also be required to fit and balance tyres. This role is full-time 38 hours per week with an annual salary. No overtime.

A working visa is required & qualifications must be supplied.

Detecting and working out problems and reporting them.

Be able to look over working parts of the car and diagnose the problem and reassemble the parts back on the vehicle

Repair or replace worn parts and reassemble the components and refer to service manuals as needed in our office or given site.

Be able to routine services or logbook serving under the service book guideline

Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired and replaced.

Be able retest vehicles after work had been done

Diagnosing and resting parts with the scan tool

Work with a colleague when a job is difficult so you can get to the best outcome.

Qualification: Minimum Certificate IV in the same field.
