Job summary

Warhorse Motorsports in Rutherford, NSW, is seeking a full-time Motor Mechanic (Light Vehicle) to inspect, diagnose and repair a range of light vehicles. You will work with diagnostic equipment, perform maintenance, and ensure all work is documented accurately for quality and safety.

The ideal candidate has a NSW Motor Vehicle Tradesperson Certificate in the Motor Mechanic class, hands-on experience with light vehicles, and their own tools.

Qualifications

• Current NSW Motor Vehicle Tradesperson Certificate (Motor Mechanic) or equivalent.
• Experience with light vehicles and diagnostic equipment.
• Own hand tools suitable for the role.
• Ability to diagnose faults and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles and discuss reported problems with customers or the service team.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures.
• Service and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, cooling and other vehicle systems.
• Replace or repair worn and faulty components.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and safety checks.
• Test vehicles after repairs to confirm they operate correctly.
• Keep accurate records of inspections, diagnosis, repairs and parts used.
• Maintain a clean, safe workshop and follow health and safety procedures.

Job description

38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Overtime may be available.

• Relevant light vehicle mechanical experience
• Your own mechanic's hand tools suitable for the role
• Ability to diagnose faults and work safely and reliably
