Job summary

ARVI Automotive Pty Ltd in Truganina, VIC, is seeking a qualified Motor Mechanic (General) for a full-time role. You will diagnose, repair, service and maintain a range of vehicles, using diagnostic tools and manuals to ensure reliability and safety.

The successful candidate has Cert III/IV in automotive technology, at least 3 years’ experience, and strong problem-solving skills. You will work independently and as part of a team while complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant automotive qualification (Cert III or Cert IV).
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Identify mechanical and electrical issues in engines and components.
• Disassemble and inspect engine assemblies, transmissions, steering systems, and other parts.
• Repair/replace worn parts and reassemble components per service manuals.
• Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups.
• Reassemble engines and vehicle parts after repairs.
• Test and adjust parts to ensure proper operation.
• Respond quickly to on-site breakdown calls.
• Use diagnostic computers to aid in diagnosing/testing components.
• Inspect vehicles to issue roadworthiness certificates or identify required repairs.
