Job summary

Banksia, located in the seaside village of Broulee, NSW, seeks a Lead Hand Gardener to support the Facilities Manager in delivering high-quality gardening and landscaping services across residents' grounds.

The Lead Hand Gardener will provide supervisory support, prioritise and allocate tasks to garden staff and undertake a range of gardening duties, including responding to requests, scheduled maintenance and landscaping projects.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Horticulture or equivalent, with at least 2 years' relevant experience.
• Strong gardening and landscaping knowledge and practices.
• Ability to lead, prioritise and delegate tasks while working independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision and support to garden staff.
• Prioritise and allocate daily tasks to garden staff.
• Undertake gardening, grounds maintenance and landscaping tasks.
• Respond to gardening requests and scheduled maintenance needs.
• Ensure gardens and common areas are safe, clean and well presented.
• Work closely with the Facilities Manager, staff, contractors and residents.
