Job summary
Morton Landscaping is seeking a Landscape Construction Apprentice to join our team in the Southern Highlands. This role offers a full-time apprenticeship across residential landscape construction, with opportunities to learn paving, timber work, drainage, planting and more.
We welcome new apprentices or existing 1st, 2nd or 3rd year apprentices who want broader experience and hands-on training. A positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
Qualifications
- Previous landscaping or construction experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Must have a strong work ethic and pride in workmanship.
- Willingness to listen and learn; hands-on problem solving.
- Enjoys practical, outdoor work and teamwork.
- Current driver's licence or reliable transport; White Card preferred or willing to obtain.
Responsibilities
- Assist with paving and stonework on projects.
- Assist timber construction and retaining walls.
- Support installation of drainage and irrigation systems.
- Prepare soil and assist planting and turf installation.
- Read landscape plans and set-out construction details.
- Operate basic machinery and assist with site prep.
- Participate in universal site safety and housekeeping.
- Work across varied residential and rural landscape installations.
- Support team with general landscape construction tasks.
