Job summary

Shamrock Hotel in Queensland is seeking an experienced cook to join a fast-paced kitchen led by a dedicated Head Chef and team.

You should have experience in busy commercial kitchens across multiple cuisines, be able to manage your own sections, and maintain high standards of food presentation and hygiene. The role is based in Mackay region with a 38-hour work week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional kitchen experience.
• Able to work 5 days across a 7-day operation.
• Flexible, with clear communication and customer service skills.
• Immaculate grooming and pride in presentation.
• Ability to manage own sections and deliver high quality food.
• Rotating roster across Mon to Sun.
• Approximately 38 hours per week.

• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Food Hygiene compliance, knowledge and practices
• Availability for rotating roster across Mon to Sun.
• Job will require approx. 38 hrs per week.
