Qualifications

• AQF Certificate I qualification or completion of compulsory secondary education
• At least three (3) years of relevant experience as a Commercial Housekeeper
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities
• Friendly, professional manner with strong customer service
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good physical fitness for the role

Responsibilities

• Clean building interiors and immediate external areas to maintain a safe, hygienic and professional environment.
• Sweep, mop and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets; clean curtains and upholstered furniture as required.
• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures and fittings; clean frequently touched surfaces.
• Collect rubbish; empty waste containers; transfer waste to disposal areas.
• Restock guest and workplace supplies, including glasses, linen, bathroom items and consumables.
• Strip and make beds; replace bed linen; maintain rooms to a clean and presentable standard.
• Maintain kitchen areas by washing dishes and cleaning appliances, cupboards, counters, pantries and floors.
• Sort, wash, dry and iron linen and clothing as needed.
• Assist with setting and clearing tables and basic food/beverage service when required.
• Follow workplace procedures, hygiene standards, safe chemical handling and health and safety practices.
