Job summary

Qualifications

• Hold a Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
• Have at least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment effectively.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, and steering components.
• Perform routine servicing, including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections.
• Dismantle and reassemble vehicle components and engines as required.
• Test and adjust mechanical parts after repair to ensure proper performance and safety.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and service schedules.
• Keep the workshop clean, organised and compliant with safety standards.
• Communicate with customers regarding issues, timelines, and costs.
