Luxe Interiors and Joinery Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our skilled team in Fyshwick, ACT. We are hiring for full-time positions and Casual positions that offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship and expertise in creating bespoke cabinetry and joinery solutions. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality custom furniture and fitted joinery that exceeds client expectations. You will work from our Fyshwick workshop, collaborating with a team of dedicated craftspeople to transform designs into stunning finished pieces.

What you’ll be doing

• Interpreting technical drawings and specifications to plan cabinet construction and joinery work
• Selecting and preparing quality materials, including timber, veneers, and other components
• Operating and maintaining hand and power tools to cut, shape, join and finish cabinet components with precision
• Assembling, installing and finishing bespoke cabinetry in both workshop and on-site environments
• Ensuring all work meets stringent quality standards and project specifications
• Collaborating with designers, clients and other team members to deliver tailored solutions
• Maintaining a safe and organised workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
• Troubleshooting and resolving any construction or fitting issues that arise during projects
• Keeping accurate records of materials used and time spent on projects

What we’re looking for

• Completed formal qualification or apprenticeship in Cabinet Making, Joinery or equivalent carpentry discipline
• Proven experience working as a Cabinet Maker or Joiner in a professional setting
• Advanced proficiency with hand tools and workshop machinery, including table saws, routers, sanders and other specialist equipment
• Strong understanding of timber selection, wood properties, joints, and finishing techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering work of the highest quality
• Knowledge of health and safety practices and a dedication to maintaining a safe working environment
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues
• Problem-solving mindset and adaptability in response to project challenges
• Experience with CAD software or design programs would be advantageous
• Knowledge of sustainable timber sourcing and environmentally conscious practices is desirable
